History - From sample shipper to fulfillment service provider
Karl-Heinz Dörhage founded Med-X-Press in 2005 as an outsourcing partner for pharmaceutical sample mail order. Logistical know-how, detailed market knowledge and knowledge of customer requirements allow the company and its service portfolio to grow rapidly. The number of employees has steadily increased to around 350 today. Med-X-Press has successively built up further business areas and now operates the service business at eight regional locations and one location in Switzerland.
The classic pharmaceutical logistics business with warehousing and distribution expanded. In addition, there was the storage and distribution of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals in the range of two to eight degrees. From 2010, the supreme discipline: BtM logistics. At the same time, Med-X-Press developed sophisticated services such as sleeving and syringe sifting, always geared to market conditions and customer-specific requirements. Innovative solutions in the IT sector with B2B and B2C webshops complete the portfolio. The most recent project is the implementation of the EU anti-counterfeiting directive with offers for the serialisation and tamper-evident closure of medicines.
With the purchase of the previously rented premises and the land in 2008, an unprecedented wave of investment began with a volume of over 12 million euros. The construction of the loading and unloading hall, the high-bay warehouse and the BtM warehouse at the company headquarters in Goslar was followed in the coming years by the commissioning of two further pharmaceutical warehouses and the cold store. There are three further locations in neighbouring Langelsheim. As a fulfilment service provider for pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, Med-X-Press has firmly established itself as a reliable, flexible partner for global players and SMEs. In 2016, Med-X-Press opened a site in Switzerland and thus gave the go-ahead for the internationalisation of the company. The establishment of a branch office in Austria is in the planning stage. For the future, the medium-sized family-owned company has also optimally arranged its succession. Lars Dörhage, the son of the company founder, has been with the company and managing partner since 2009.
This fulminant development would not have been possible without qualified committed employees and their commitment to the satisfaction of our customers
