Med-X-Press is a medium-sized, owner-managed company. For our customers, this means short decision-making processes and fast action. Our location in Goslar, in the heart of Germany, guarantees optimal connections to the national and international transport network. We actively store your products under temperature control and distribute them across borders, including the last mile.

Commissioning of the refrigerated warehouse and GMP certification for veterinary medicinal products

The growing market for pharmaceuticals requiring cold chain storage also increased demand for storage capacity in the temperature range of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius. Med-X-Press therefore rented a refrigerated warehouse not far from the company headquarters and, after appropriate conversion for the storage of pharmaceuticals, created a total of 1,500 pallet spaces for temperature-sensitive products. In the same year Med-X-Press receives the GMP certificate for veterinary medicines and can now also accept products from veterinary medicine manufacturers

In its anniversary year, Med-X-Press already has a total of 180 employees.

Commissioning of the narcotics warehouse

Commissioning of the narcotics warehouse

The increasing demand for the storage and distribution of narcotics led to the decision to build a narcotics warehouse. The so-called "supreme discipline" of pharmaceutical logistics was given a "high-security wing" that goes far beyond the required standards in terms of security technology. For 1,100 pallet spaces, Med-X-Press offers absolute reliability in the handling of sensitive products. This is guaranteed not only by the technical equipment, but also by the trained employees. The narcotics warehouse will be expanded to include a cold storage cell in 2011. The only approved narcotic requiring refrigeration is stored here.

2009

Construction of the loading and unloading hall

In close cooperation with its customers, Med-X-Press has continuously expanded its service portfolio, significantly increased volumes and increased the number of employees. The construction of the loading and unloading hall with the corresponding loading ramps as well as the construction of new production facilities enable further steps in the company's expansion process.

Purchase of the rented premises and the site at "Pracherstieg" in Goslar

The initially rented hall and offices at the current company headquarters in the Baßgeige industrial estate in Goslar were purchased, including the site. New premises were planned at the Pracherstieg site in order to cope with the increasing number of customers and the necessary storage capacity. This marked the start of an unparalleled wave of investment in new buildings and equipment.

2007

First GMP certification

With the first GMP certificate for medicinal products for human use, Med-X-Press proves compliance with the rules of Good Manufacturing Practice and has thus met the requirements for the granting of a manufacturing authorization in accordance with §13.1 AMG (German Medicinal Products Act). These certificates allow us to expand our range of services to include contract manufacturing for customers in accordance with high quality criteria.

2005

Foundation of Med-X-Press

Med-X-Press was founded in 2005 by Karl-Heinz Dörhage. The forwarding agent and business economist had already managed the healthcare sector in well-known companies. He started his own business with the idea of offering pharmaceutical sample shipping as an outsourcing service. This made the distribution of samples to doctors and pharmacies more cost-efficient for pharmaceutical companies and reduced wastage while increasing the response rate.

Karl-Heinz Dörhage was supported by three employees during the start-up phase. However, the number of employees grew as rapidly as the demand for the service.
